To capture the big moments, the in-between, the un-noticed, the ordinary and the extraordinary without staging pictures or being in the way, letting events flow as they happen and to deliver an amazing collection of images is an incredible privilege.

With shooting weddings for over 25 years around the world, through experience, I know what works and what doesn't when it comes to arranging a big day. The feedback from my clients regarding our pre-wedding meeting is always fabulous, valuable advice to make the day go perfectly is part of the service. All queries, no matter how small are just an email or phone call away.

Can we meet up before our wedding?

Definitely, it would be perfect to meet somewhere that serves great coffee! Getting to know your photographer is essential before your big day. I'm only a phone call away if you have a question, anytime!

Our venue have asked: Are you insured?

Yes – I have public liability and public indemnity insurance. I also carry backup equipment just in case. If your venue would like to see a copy, simply ask them to email me.

Our wedding is abroad. Will you travel?

I love to travel, and have shot weddings all over the world. Cover my travel expenses and I will come for your big day to the other side of the world. See the blog for 10 years of destination weddings!

Do you do engagement shoots?

I absolutely love them! A lot of couples are just not comfortable in front of the camera (me too). Think of it as a fun trial run to allow you to be comfortable in front of the camera and I guarantee a lot of awesome pictures! This should take only about an hour to do x

The art and passion of the photographs, the sensibility, expectations and dreams of the couples, the emotions and amazement of their loved ones… all these feelings take form in a book that you will love at first sight.

Who edits the photographs?

I do of course. Many photographers out-source the editing, but I was there, at that moment when the shutter clicked. Only I know how the light fell, how that moment felt.

How far in advance should we book a photographer for our wedding?

Smart brides book early! If your wedding takes place on a Saturday or a bank holiday, I'm usually booked well in advance. If you would like to know, if I am still available on your chosen date, please fill in the contact form and I will get back to you as soon as possible.

How do we receive our wedding pictures?

You will have your own password protected gallery where you can download digitally. Share the link with friends and family and they can download and print themselves anywhere in the world.

How long do you stay at our wedding?

I'll be there at the brides location to capture those getting ready moments (and also the groom if feasible), all the wedding day, reception, speeches and i'll stay to the evening to capture the laughter, love and dancing. I usually stop taking picture when people may start to become 'unphotogenic' Lol.

How long does it take until we receive the images?

I’ll share some sneak peeks within a week of your wedding, the full collection will be ready between 4 and 6 weeks. This may be a little longer in the very busy season.

How many photos do we receive?

Typically around 400-500 images, each individual photo personally edited in my professional signature style.

How long have you been a photographer?

I started as a fashion photographer, working with the then Ms Great Britain. I decided to move into weddings after being asked to photograph a models wedding in 1994 in Belgium. I loved it and was hooked!

Do you take formal family group shots?

Of course! I can appreciate these can be valuable pictures for the family. Most couples request these and they only take around 5 minutes to do. I will do them as quickly as possible so that you can get back to enjoying the love and laughter.

How do we book you?

Easy. In order to secure the date, we need to exchange a contract and a booking fee of £500. When done, that date is sealed.

We would like to meet up, is this possible?

That would be a pleasure. Every wedding is a beautiful one off, I would love to meet you one to one over a coffee or we can Skype if you are far away. I warn you, my enthusiasm for weddings is infectious!

When was the company born?

People have known me for the past 25 years as Lancashire Weddings.com, that name is still active, but people have always booked Neil from Lancashire Weddings. So in 2018, why not? the name is now simply me x
