Tuscany Wedding Photographer.
Tuscany is a stunning region in the centre of Italy, renowned for it's beautiful landscapes, medieval towns, world famous wines and stunning Renaissance art. Where better to celebrate the wedding of Ruth and Tom in an incredible former count's estate villa from the 16th century, not far from the medieval city of Lucca, amongst the gentle rolling hills, cypress trees, olive groves and vineyards.
Wedding preparations in a 16th Century Villa
The day literally began the night before with a giant party in the heart of the medieval villa, with a special guest performance from a very special opera singer, Francesco, who brought the house down with Italian songs to get everyone in the mood.
Wedding overlooking the olive groves.
With local suppliers attending to do the girls make up, hair and the villa's staff preparing the food in the ancient kitchens, the scene was set for the most magical of settings as Ruth nervously looked on as the guests assembled on the terrace. Ruth was escorted down the isle by her mother, and a beautiful ceremony conducted by Toms friend David was the icing on the cake.
Hugs, kisses followed by Prosecco and homemade canapé's on the terrace; absolutely perfect!
Wedding photography in Tuscany
I love everything Italian, Tuscany is something else. The terracotta roofs, creamy golden stone of the buildings that glow in the sun, the famous vineyards, the food, the people and the history make it a perfect destination to tie the knot. In-between the hugs and kisses, I couldn't resist walking with the happy couple a stones throw from the ancient villa for a few quick portraits amongst the old olive groves that grow around the venue, the light was amazing. It always is in Italy!
Thank-you Ruth & Tom for entrusting me to photograph your amazing day x
Here are a few sample pictures from the day..
