Lancashire Manor Wedding Photographer

It's been a couple of years since I last photographed a wedding at Lancashire Manor, with it's magnificent Old Hall near Upholland in Lancashire which is now a lovely hotel. So I was glad to be asked to photograph Laura and Andrews wedding there as there is huge opportunity for photography in the beautiful landscaped garden and surrounding countryside.

Bridal preparations in the morning

The day began at Laura's suite where Mum and the bridal party got ready with a splash of Prosecco and laughter. A lovely moments!, especially nice to see a familiar face in sister in-law Clair amongst the bridesmaids, I had the enormous pleasure of photographing her wedding a few years ago.

Dalton Church, the perfect rural setting for a wedding

I arrived early to capture Andrew and his groomsmen, Dalton is a special church, my daughter was christened there 16 years ago and it still has that warm sense of occasion that makes a wedding build up all the more amazing. 

Laura arrived in appropriate style in a lovely vintage car, as the girls waited at the front of the church showing little sign of nerves! Laura looked stunning as she walked down the aisle with her dad who had the biggest smile of a very proud father. After the ceremony, Laura and Andrew stood near the entrance of the church to receive hugs, congratulations and kisses from the guests, before the obligatory group picture and a shot that always gives me goose bumps; the confetti madness!

Wedding reception at Lancashire Manor

After plenty bubbly everyone moved to the Main Hall for the speeches followed by the wedding breakfast in the beautiful old Hall. After the meal, the tables were swiftly cleared for the evening party to begin, not before we took a few minutes to take a quiet walk at sunset in the rolling fields under Billinge Hill. A perfect pre-cursor to the evenings love, dancing and laughter!
