Neil's style from Lancashire weddings was exactly what we were looking for.
Very few posed photos and much more natural shots, people laughing and smiling naturally, loving and tender moments captured quietly, each photo was alive with movement and emotion. Each collection of photos told a beautiful story and we wanted to have our story captured in this special way.
From our first contact with Neil we felt in safe hands. Neil was extremely positive and very kind putting our minds at ease that we had chosen the right person. We had no particular idea of shots we wanted taken and we didn't give Neil a list of photos we wanted taken with guests or otherwise. We trusted him emphatically to plan our special day.
We didn't actually meet Neil until the day before our wedding in Santa Maria, Italy. I had been sunbathing in the pool with my friends when I had to go back to the hotel room to get ready for our pre wedding dinner at Mocaria's. I spotted Neil chatting with the wedding planner in the restaurant of the hotel, I immediately liked him and we clicked. Neil was full of enthusiasm for the coming wedding and I immediately knew we were in safe hands. Friendly, smiling, happy, warm, loving are the words I would use to sum up Neil. Oh and of course extremely professional.
The day of our wedding... I was in a hotel on the coast getting ready with my bridesmaids, some family, and the wonderful Anna the hairdresser. Neil came over when I was getting my hair done and took a few shots of me before I put on my dress. There were photos of me glancing out of the window, putting in an earring, not posed just soft natural images which really summed up the serenity I was feeling. He completely put me at ease and i didn't feel nervous at all at having my photos taken.
Neil then took beautiful photos of our guests in the square having drinks and being played live music by our guitar and mandolin player. The pure joy captured on everyone's faces as they anticipated our wedding was wonderful to see when we got the photo albums as obviously we were not there to share that experience with them.
Neil then returned to my hotel and took photos of me and my wedding party once we were all dressed and ready to go. Although I wasn't nervous I felt totally swept along with the day at this point and can truly say that Neil made me feel so relaxed that I almost forgot he was taking photos. I was just enjoying myself! Walking to the Torre there are photos of me laughing and pointing and waving to strangers along the way. Moments that Neil knew were special, knew that I'd want to cherish, moments I may have forgotten had he not shot them.
Once I had climbed the Torre and walked the down the aisle to my gorgeous groom that was it, the world became just a background to my dream. I was in a love bubble and Neil captured the happiness we both felt perfectly. There was no pressure to pose for photos, we just enjoyed our day. The ceremony, the walk around the amazing medieval fishing village, drinks at Le Gatte, and our wedding reception on the beach at the Lido. All of it was captured by Neil without us even knowing what photos he was taking, we trusted him emphatically. We loved the soft honesty of the photos, a loving gesture, a loving look, a laugh, a tear. It was all captured beautifully and yet those moments still remained personal and private.
I can't tell you how many times we have looked at our photos. After a year of marriage it is still one of my favourite past times!
I still look at the photos and cry, happy tears. It certainly does tell a story, a story of love and happiness, the best day of our lives. We wouldn't want to have shared these moments with anyone other than Neil. We cannot recommend Neil highly enough. Even now I'm thinking about what other life events Neil can be a part of and take photos of!!
Thank you Neil for being the absolute best!
With love, The Stallions xxx
